I'm more than a little disappointed in Reading after reading this article!
http://www.turkish-football.com/news_read.php?id=4264
After no acknowledgement, apology, sympathy or decency was shown from galatasaray after the heinous murder of two innocent Leeds fans I feel bitterly disappointed that they have gone through with this.
With Reading supposedly being a "family club" how can they warrant doing this!!!
Wonder what Ian Harte's take on this is
Reading and Them form partnership

What you are saying is morally correct, but it's doesn't change anything for me.

Nobody is saying all Turkish people are bad people, but the goings on that night, inside the ground & out, and the failure to bring those responsible to justice (even though someone has admitted it) leaves a very sour taste in a lot of Leeds fans mouths.
Every single close friend of mine who is Leeds fan feels the same as me, and i know quite a few people who were very close to both lads who were killed and they will never forgive or forget, they are still fighting for justice even now....but as i said yesterday, it couldve been any race from any country

Please can someone tell me where I blame Turkish people.
I just don't think we should sign any Turk players because it will cause more problems
How the hell is that racist

I haven't said you blame them, but by not wanting Leeds to sign a Turkish player is denying them employment based on nationality. Which Leeds would never openly condone

I'd also like to clarify the actual point of the article was to see why Reading would want to be affiliated with this club. When they shown particular disdain to two innocent Brits who were murdered by their fans.
Surely any other club would have put out condolences, vilified said fans, postponed the match, or at least put on arm bands and held a minutes silence. But they did the exact opposite. Not sure if its still the same chairman now however

What happened that night will and has been used against us as we have used things to get at others!..
Its a human thing, bring anyone down the best you can with whatever you have, and we over the years have been as good as and better than most at doing it!..
Like so many have said, what happened was a vile act, and someone has to be blamed, but the Club had nothing to do with it, it was cowards wearing their colours and using whatever they had in their hands at that time that did it, and those few were not the Turkish nation, so you cant blame all for it!..
We have to remember our own, and those that were close to them should be left to live their lives the best they can since they lost their loved ones, they should be able to look on here and maybe try and laugh with the guys and gals that they know their lived ones were at home with every time they went out with their shirts/scarves on, these threads every 2mins wont be doing much to help them move on!..
The Club are the same as ours, should they have taken any off the blame?.....maybe, but that was up to the authority's at that time to pass judgement, so it looks like they thought not!..
Their fans are the same as any other, I'm sure most clubs in the world have had a run in with someone,(I'd say ours as well!)somewhere in history and didn't live to talk about it!..
The Turkish people, a different culture, a different way of life, but they are no different to any of us in the fact that they are Men and Women with Kids, Mother's and Fathers, just like all on here!..
If the first game had been at Elland Road then maybe the talk would be about the animals off Leeds United, but the way it went its turned into one nation taking the blame for a few morons that wanted to show the world what its like to be a Man!..
Those would be Men out there, think on the next time you want to prove something to the world, Football is just that, Football!..
And a fan of whoever is only the same as you, there to watch a game!..
The people of Turkey are not all Galatsaray fans, but then the Galatsaray fans are not all like the ones that were mixing it with the worst that night!..
