Actually, I will respond to this because it is so misguided.

It was racism 200 years ago when we were enslaving people. Slavery is no longer relevant. I certainly won't apologise for people who died hundreds of years before I lived did.

I once argued that for the individual on the receiving end, there really isn;t any difference.
The guy lieing in a pool of bloody because his hair is ginger is not going to feel any better than the guy lieing in a pool of blood because of his skin colour

This is true but the difference is that many more people have suffered at the hands of racism than hair colour. It has always been a problem in society and continues to be.
