With Ryan Giggs signing another years extension it just goes to show the ability Sir Furious has to keep core players at the club.
Scholes, Ferdinand, Evra, Fletcher etc etc...
This year will see Ryan clock up his 23rd season as a first team player. That is incredible...
That level of consistency in the squad must be a contributing factor to success and no wonder that Lennon is looking at what players can be there for the long haul at Celtic to try and keep that nucleus within the team....

Fergie has an easier job keeping a nucleus of players though as players want to remain in the EPL and are on top wages. Our league will always be a stepping stone for eventual top players.

But the point still remains most successful sides build on a strong nucleus of players that have been with the club for a while.
