I know there's been a few posts on this already but now we've had time to consider the weeks friendlies, it's time for sensible reflection.
1. We can't play a long ball game with Sammy up front against quality
opposition.
It was embarassing to watch this against Inter and I actually
felt sorry for him, no support indeed no one within yards.
2. Brown can't play wide right and Ledley can't play wide left.
In my opinion both have to play in the middle or not at all and at the
moment it would be Ledley who would get my vote.
A midfield of Kayal/Ki,Ledley/Commons would do with big Vinny next.
3. Surprise, surprise, we need a goalkeeper.
Pay the money and get a class keeper, even if it's Forster,
who I thought did ok last season but get it done now.
4. Buy another CB,one with pace or try Vinny there.
The present bunch of Danny, Glenda, Mulgrew are not the answer.
Wilson has looked ok but it's early days.
5. Buy a big, strong, quick forward to play through the middle when we
need that type to take the weight off Stokes and Hooper.
6. Stick to playing quick passing football, that's what made us look good
last season.
Lessons Learned

Friendlies are all about trying something different, the team chosen and the tactics will be a lot different in competitive games.

Celtic's worldwide brand does not stretch to Dublin HFH.
The celtic gloating brigade are a tad quiet today after a dud show in Eire and the Gers moving above them again. No doubt you will say game in hand bhoys, but remember the ICT game in hand hahahahahah.

Brown is a right midfeilder, not a centre midfeilder.
Apart from that, decent points.
thebellsareblue - I heard that tickets for that tournament were 45 euros a piece. If that right, I'm suprised that there were more than 100 people watching any of the games! The Irish economy is a shocking mess and 45 euros for a friendly is a disgrace.
I think they should have been looking at 20 euros a ticket.
