"We don't plan for anybody. It is always the same - focus on our strengths and forget about your opponent." said Wenger.
This is why Arsenal will never win another trophy under Wenger.
Do us all a favour and leave in May. Give someone the job who prepares the Team properly physically, mentally, and tactically.
What a plank.

"Or he simply answers journalists' pointed questions designed to get a rise with a derisive answer that gives nothing away."
Yea...I don't think so.

"Do you honestly think Wenger is that naive to go into a game against our fiercest rivals with a player bang in form and not have a plan to deal with him?"
I don't think it at all. I know it.

I have a little more faith. We will have a plan - "play our own game, retain posession and therefore stop them scoring".
I do think that (if fit) Coquelin might start. I do also think that he isn't fit, so it is not applicable.

Barcelona do the exact same thing

Couldn't believe he said that, but I hope it was just an attempt to throw the journalists (and Spurs) off guard. We will see if he truly meant that on Sunday. If he was being serious though, then he needs to go asap, no question.

If you let bale play we will win comfortbly. I can't believe wenger is that naive. Just stick 2 men on bale and let ade run free, then we're facked!

I'v heard him say this quote about other players, while we were winning trophies. So don't be too worried and come Sunday, North London will be red.

But when you were winning trophies you had great players...
If he thinks he can keep bale quiet sending jenkinson and mertesacker out with no gameplan I look forward to sunday

I'd like to think that this is just Wenger not wanting to reveal his tactical masterplan that will prove to be Tottenham's downfall. However, the more likely reason is that he is arrogantly assuming that our style of play will always triumph, whoever the opponent. We even tried to play the same way as usual against Barcelona! This, for me, is Wenger's greatest flaw. He refuses to adapt to the opposition, whereas Ferguson, for example, always does, often choosing to pack the midfield and using pace out wide against the big teams, and often being rewarded with a string of good results. This tactic works well against Arsenal in particular. Such tactical naivety only seems to have affected Wenger with age, it was not a problem, say, ten years ago. These days Wenger is an outstanding man manager but an average tactician.
