Plain and Simple.
Let's be honest, guys. We were lucky to even get a goal.
Tottenham played very well. Pressing us all over the pitch. Destroying our rhythm.
'Professional' is the way I would describe them.
This all comes down to the managers again.
Once again, another manager trumps Wenger when it comes to tactics.
The Frenchman was left dithering around as per usual.
As for the team selections. I have absolutely nothing against Ramsey, but the kid offers absolutely nothing at all. I was 100% certain he'd miss that shot when through on goal.
He just doesn't have what it takes to play at this level currently.
Same with Giroud today. Was non existent.
I just don't know what Podolski's got to do to play. He's getting the 'Arshavin' treatment.
In fact, we were lucky to not have conceded anymore goals.
Another dead, dead game for us.
I hope there's some truth to the takeover rumours. Things look hopeless at the moment.
Credit To Tottenham. They Were Just Better

You've got very poor centre halves that cost you tome and time again. No positional awareness today look at Verm for second goal absolutely tragic

that the problem with us. We have no urgency to score and you can count the minutes then we will concede a goal. That is the history of so many games we played recently. That is why we lost.

" could have be any other player. I say its poor defending. Very avoidable. Why do you hang on on Bale? He wasnt a thread for us today. We didnt even gave free kicks away which was lethal for them against West Ham. Did we?"
Because you specifically said 'we did well to Bale away from the goal'. Simple to understand.

Or did I missed something.

Did he not score the opening goal?
As for the rest of what you said I can't agree. Arteta's been very average this season, so I don't know why Wenger included him in the team. Coquelin was our best bet as he is composed on the ball and he's a good tackler. Giroud should not have started because he has been ineffective the last few games and it turns out I was right again. Giroud was too slow with the ball at his feet and he did not get into good positions.
Vermaelen showed why, although he's very athletic, his reading of the game is poor, Koscielny would have been a better inclusion, in my opinion. Koscielny and Mertesacker together.
The 4-3-3 and high line system will work if we have the personnel for it and if all our players are willing to press the opposition. We didn't. The team set up the same way every game and teams know how to nullify us. Why persist with a system which doesn't suit the players we have?
The substitutions also were not good. Jenkinson was doing well on the rhs and he was a constant threat, so why take him off? Rosicky should have come off for Arteta/Ramsey, and Jenkinson should have stayed on the pitch. Podolski should have come on for Giroud, too, who did very little the entire game.
So in conclusion, Wenger made a lot of tactical mistakes, still looked lost going forward and we looked vulnerable on the counter.
Considering we make the mistakes each year and our defenders keep making rookie errors, I would say it is poor coaching which has affected our defence.
The common denominator in all this is Wenger, so the blame lies with him.

I know allot of you want wenger out but maybe missing out on cl is exactly the kick your club needs. There is some truth to the idea that you can't attract big players without cl football but if you pay the wages you can and you've got the money. Maybe wenger and the board will finally go out and spend top dollar on top players.

Bale scored because we gave it to him on a plate, like GT said it's irrelevant who scored really just down to a silly moment from us.

I'm surprised with the comments about Spurs' pressing. Their pressing was mediocre. They defended much deeper than we did and successfully utilized their pace upfront coupled with our uncertainty in defence. They deserve credit but no need to go overboard.
