Now honestly....!
If this had been ENGLAND, all you Aussies would have been banging on about how we try and get anyone from around the world to play for us.
Honestly, wouldn't you??!

frankly speaking spin in English conditions is not going to trouble their batsmen. They better start looking for fast bowlers who will trouble England batsmen, and a couple of batsmen who can tackle the swing of anderson

The fact is that there are plenty of south asian cricketers that have been given the chance, but not enough have the quality to justify a long term place. This guy is probably just another hype like many others such as:

owais shah
ravi
monty - although hes had his moments
saj mahmood
shahzad
adeel rashid - talked about for years
samit patel
and so on

the aussies have also tried usman khawaja in the past and hes been found wanting.

The ONLY south asian player that has had any class is AMLA (indian origin). the rest have had moments of flahes here and there but have been failures.

PS - the guys excuse that the extremists are after him for playing cricket is laughable . I think hes trying to do a Zulqarnin haider and get an alternative passport that isnt green.

@ Afridi: Nasser Hussain (Indian born) did pretty well in his test career, and Monty is competing with Swann for a single berth in tests outside of the SC.

Don't forget Majid Haq from Scotland

That’s a fair point about Nass HMMurdoch – forgot about him. Still 2 players in so many isn’t a very good ratio.

Anyways heres my south Asian 11

Ravi bopara
Owais shah / Aftab Habib
Nasser Hussein (C)
Mark Ramps
Samit patel
Bilal shafayat (wk)
Kabir Ali
Adeel Rashid
Saj mahmooood
Shahzad
Monty

12th Man – Maj ul haq, if he crosses the scotish borders on time, and subject to the chefs approval - Samit already in team, so a high risk of food shortages

The Asian players with the exception of Nasser and Monty have been shocking. Shahzad was looking good at one stage but never recovered from his mishaps with the Yorkshire board. Always thought Solanki was a good player who never got into the test side. The next batch are:

Azeem Rafiq - Long term replacement for Swann and can he get this doosra that he reckons he can bowl?

Moin Ashraf - Could be good or another Mahmood

Shiv Thakor - Neon's nephew but for some reason
after a good breakthrough county season was ignored for U19 and performance squad.

By the way kash, I'm related to moin Ashraf, no joke

all you mirpuri's are related. You need to tell him to stop bowling at 82MPH and get up to 90MPH.

Not that close mate. Only found when his uncle passed away recently and my lot went to funeral.
