Gerrard fitness has been brilliant this season, but I struggle to understand why he has to play every minute of every game. It's a nice stat, but an utterly pointless one.

I can only conclude the same as toor (what happened to the RR?). He wants a bit of continuity helping the team to gel.

I can see what your saying but maybe Brendan believes those players don't deserve a chance for what ever reason.

Maybe those players are on the bench for an "in-case" someone gets injured scenario. I believe BR will let a lot of players go this summer and those who are not in the initial starting 11 and out-side of the promising youngsters; Wisdoms, Kellys and Sterlings may be moved on and used as cash generators for greater purchases.

I believe Liverpool need 5 new players this summer but BR may deem we need more. He's had the best part of 7-8 months now to assess the squad and I'm not convinced he's too impressed with the strength beyond the first 11.

Can't see any of that being true to be honest. We won't be making big overhauls again. We're in the middle of a transition season, we don't need another. A few additions and to pick up where we left off, for next season.

I can only assume he doesn't think those players deserve some minutes at the expense of first team players playing well.

We don't have enough games left to be worried about fitness now, we have at least a weeks rest after most of our remaining games.

People keep going on about Assaidi and Suso, but neither of them have shown in their chances in the side that they are worthy of more.

Coutinho has shown just how average Assaidi is.

Suso granted has been played wide which is not his best position, but he hasn't pulled up any trees.

Maybe he thought the team on the pitch would push on and score more, GD could be a factor at the end of the season, ours is looking good, but could always be better.

And in all likelyhood will not see him playing into his late thirties like Giggs and Scholes.

When you are hammering a team, there really is no reason to keep all your big guns on the field.
