Vierinha

Rovers had a bid rebuffed by the Greek outfit earlier in the summer but are believed to have upped their offer to more than £3m for the 25-year-old.

The player is keen on a move to the Premier League but PAOK are reluctant to sell their fans' favourite – although the offer could prove too good to turn down to ease their financial difficulties.

PAOK though are currently in talks with potential new investors and they fear the sale of their star player would not look good, leaving them in a quandary of whether to accept Rovers' bid.

I'm not anti or pro Venky's at the moment (waiting till the end of the month to see what sort of path they're taking) but I'm liking th policy shown so far (despite the fact we're yet to actually sign anyone).

I'd rather we didn't go out looking to spend the earth, and the players we are looking at are both young and talented, so providing we can sign a few this month I'll be fairly confident of a decent season. If the pre-season game v Villa is anything to go by we just need players who can breach the last line of defence (although another CB or LB would be useful).

Things seem to be going well in training, and the players believe in Kean and Venky's, roll on the start of the season, COYB!

No massive signings granted but I'm pleased with the players that look likely to be coming. Young and impressive talent.

Petrovic and Goodwillie have had a lot of high profile clubs interested at some point so will be very pleased to get both of them.

I think we are desperate for a centre back.....Givet alongside Samba does not look too back but Samba picks up bookings/ reds so you can count on him being out at least 4/5 games a season through that and that is hoping he doesn't get injured....or worse sold!!!

Givet is a good back up but I would like to see at least £5mil re-invested on the defence....its all well and good bringing in forwards but if we are leaking goals like we did at the end of last season we will be in trouble

Well hopefully we get Mongongu, him along with Samba, Givet, Nelsen and Hanley should be more than enough at centre back.

I'm still annoyed we don't appear to be getting a left back. I know Myles Anderson plays there but can't imagine he is going to be first choice...
