Football's golden years

Pictures of Football grounds over the years includes Wolves vs Spartak, Blues vs Albion at Wembley (over 92,000 saw that game) and a very strange looking Stamford Bridge from the 80's.

Its a shame we never replicated the Molineux Street Stand roof when we modernised the stadium. Very iconic and unique

Yes. So iconic and unique.

Ignoring the picture of Highbury from 40years earlier of course.

Jack we all know you’re an idiot no need to constantly remind us. The picture of Molineux may be from 40 years after Highbury was opened but Molineux was built 25 years before Highbury.

Yes, Arsenal copied our iconic stand - copyright was a bit slack in those days.

It is also interesting to see that Albion's ground hasn't changed from the bombed out wreck it was all those years ago. Fair play for holding onto tradition

When you look back at all the old grounds, it seemed that all four stands at any ground you care to mention were different to the others - and we never thought anything of it. We just accepted that stands were rebuilt as and when it could be afforded, and some of the designs were very eccentric. Wolves' old Waterloo Road stand was very....... unique. Older viewers will remember that one.
Uncle Herbert loves Albion.

It's amazing how much these grounds have changed in such a short space of time and how even the "same" ground looks like a completely different place!
