Dexter Blackstock

With regards to the above, I don't know why he's in the team? Granted, last night he was the only striker at the club who was fit along side Cox. For me, he has to be the worst player currently in our starting 11. Now, I realise there's some of you who love him and think he's brilliant. But ask yourself, what does he contribute to the team?

Very little in my opinion, he's lazy and not a prolific goalscorer at all. To give him a 4 and a half year contact is just ludicrous, I can't stand him! I hope he gets sold in the summer but I very much doubt it. Leeds can have him for 400k, I wouldn't pay him in washers. I hope Sharp is fit on Saturday, how Dex is getting picked above him is beyond me.

What's peoples thoughts on this "striker" - and I use that term very loosely

Al-Florest, do you think Harding has a calf problem?

That's what's reported Denimjays, and it's on the official site too. I did wonder if the players that have gone missing were not to BD's liking but they all have knocks of one description or another - like the Kuwaiti keeper; I assumed he'd been dropped from the bench because Davies didn't rate him, but it turns out he's got a back injury.

Just like Boyd had a blindness problem!

Just sayin' ...

So BD phoned Fawaz to cancel the Boyd transfer during McLeish's reign? My God, you are right, IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! Davies didn't rate Boyd!

And the clincher: Billy Davies is an anagram of IS DEVIL, ABLY

C'mon, it's no coincidence that:

Day 1 - AM wanted to sign Boyd
Day 2 - We didn't sign Boyd for farcical reasons
Day 3 - AM gets sack and BD gets the job, who we know has "issues" with Boyd.

I don't think it's far fetched at all to suggest that BD might have had some influence in the non-signing of Boyd..

Woo i'm here now so let the party begin

I don't think Billy has had an argument with Billy (mind mess up there) as we know if someone crosses Billy badly they will not play for him at all (i.e Kelvin Wilson) but Billy has been on the pitch since Billy has been back and he tweeted straight after the Ipswich game to say well done, so he must have been at home and otherwise if he wasn't ill even if he didn't get on with Billy he would have been in the stands.

The Henderson Injury is a fabrication though as he is in court, i don't know why they don't just say that, and that will show if he is back on Saturday as the trial has been postponed according to the news because of a sheep farmer (they just can't stay away can they ).

The Boyd Scenario, i'm not sure about it makes sense and I'm not one to believe in coincidence but if it was not why would Billy have been talking with the Blackpool chairman the day before we sacked AM if he knew he was going to be offered the job?

However on the other hand maybe hoons is right as Billy was contacted and talked to the afternoon after McLeish left in the morning, and that may just be because of the urgency of losing him to Blackpool or it may have been pre-arranged.

Either way I am glad he is back and I have no regrets at all of not having Boys as i would have majewski over him any day and Boyd would play in that position and he wasn't that great the last time he was here. Plus he said the best decision of his career last year was not joining Forest, so maybe we got a little revenge back this year, even though it was slightly harsh

I think opportunities will come our strikers way soon. As someone has said, I think they have largely been marked out of games recently, which has created opportunities for the mid-field. You can bet your bottom dollar, that teams will now be all over Raddi and, to an extent, Reid. Hopefully, the strikers will be able exploit the additional space that should create (assuming some sort of 'supply' to them can be established).

We need to keep Blackstock and I think he is excellent when he plays alongside Sharp. Nothing wrong with a bit of rotation – and it's good to have the options!

Also, I think Sharp has been ill. How much would Billy & Billy would have had to have fallen out, for Billy to have left himself (and the rest of the team) exposed with just TWO available strikers for the entire match earlier this week (if you follow what I mean!).

FAF
No. That's not to disparage Blackstock.

But I'd rather we went out and bought quality finishers and I'd probably take Sharp instead.
