He was pretty game-rusty if you ask me, which is understandable when you haven't kicked a ball for a few months. He was full of beans early and but was lucky not to get booked, but gradually started to show his class with some tidy passing. Also had a decent effort on goal in the 2nd half.

Generally, he looks like he'll be a pretty good replacement for when Spearing leaves.

He seems like a decent player who can hold up play and looks confortable on the ball. He did seem a little off the pace but it was his first start so it is understandable. Early on I felt he was a yellow card waiting to happen with a few of his tackles. I need another 2 or 3 games before I can say yay or nay.
