Was just wondering what people think about the way fergie tried to get the crowd going on Tuesday night after that sending off. Would it have been better if he had tried to settle the players and got them into position instead of getting them worked up. Maybe tried to get subs on the field to settle things down. Just seemed to be a lot of panicking for 10 mins or so. In that time Madrid got modric on and it kinda turned the game .

It would have been better if he'd slipped on his drunken rse whilst making a fool of himself running down those steps

I think most people on here will agree that SAF let the emotions get to him.
Once Nani was sent off, the first thing he should have done is sort out how the team would shape, and get that message on to the pitch.
It was in that ten minute period the game was actually lost.

Take that emotion out of the man and perhaps we wouldn't have nearly as many trophies though.
Obviously a huge amount of thought had gone into his pre-match tactics.... So maybe it was not time for rash decisions anyway. The core of the team was still intact.

SAF is not the greatest of tacticians, but usually gets his prematch tactics right and his team motivation.
tbf, even at one man down, with a lead in hand and home advantage we could have held on. But we do not have the personnel or squad mentality for holding on unfortunately.
the game was won by modric imo,

Not really the point was it.
So I will explain it to you, in terme you can understand.
Nani got sent off in the 56th minute. SAF came down to argue with the officials, vent his displeasure and gee up the fans.
Jose made the tactical substitution that won the game.
SAF didn't address the shape of our team until the 73rd minute, a full 17 minutes afe=ter the sending off, and five minutes after Ronaldo scored the winner.
A manger of his experience should know better.

I addressed that, you condensing little príck. Our shape wasn't hugely affected and we had a very precise gameplan, so SAF clearly wanted to see how it panned out.
Seriously.... you claim to be, what, over 50 and you talk like that.... Like an angry, condescending woman?

i actually think our players froze, we were still ahead despite being down to ten men if they had got their act together we would have been ok. I actually dont think reorganisation by the manager was necessary, there were enough old heads out there to know what to do. By the time they got it together it was too late.
