What are his chances of getting a work permit? From what iv seen of him and all the talk about him he would definitely be a welcome addition to our squad for this season, in my opinion.Of all the youngsters we have I would love to see him, at least on the bench, coming on as an impact sub.
Wenger seems really keen on getting him into the squad, let's just hope it gets sorted out.
The only negative point I can picture is that if Ryo gets the nod I can see Wenger saying that he's our new signing and that's all our transfer business done.
Ryo's chances?

I'd say 25% chance of him getting a work permit if he played for United it would be 75% though

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high OP, as I'd imagine there's a 60-40% chance he won't get clearance.
Still, he looks like a good prospect. Another season in the Eredivisie wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for him though.

I'm not sure how the visa thing works for international footballers in the PL but I do know that they have to have played a certain proportion of games for their international team in the last year, or be an "outstanding prospect" (or words to that effect).
Ryo would fall into the latter category I assume. What I don't understand is how he played for Feynord for a season. Are there not standard EU laws employment laws around this? Obviously not.
