Promotion Form

Last 6 games form is not promotion form, on paper, as I have pointed out before – only 9 points from the 6 games is midtable form (arithmetically, I mean).

However:
you get the feeling this team is very solid, maybe lacking a little firepower. I doubt opposition teams are finding playing this Leeds team at all easy, now.

Morison will need to perform, and 2 goals yesterday was a good sign

It may be 9 points from 6 games, but 4 of them were away from home, and we just played 2 of the top 6 sides away and drew both (I am not sure we clearly deserved to win either, but in both cases we almost did so)

Our next 4 games are 3 home games (Pboro, Hudders and Derby) and Ipswich away. I would expect something from all of them. So no reason for our last 6 form not to soon reach/exceed the 2 points a game average usually seen as promotion form.

I believe if we had had this team, playing like this, from day one, we would have been in at least a playoff place.

And therein is the problem – we didn’t, we need to average well above 2 points a game for th rest of the season, which is a big ask, especially when the team does not seem to have as much fire power as it needs.

its possible though, the cup is half full, for me.

It maybe half full for you but we are not even close to promotion.
We are a mid table championship team lacking creativity, pace and quality.
Bates has destroyed a fan base.
There is much to put right.

Course it's possible.

We've only lost 4 home games this season, so it's not unthinkable to say we'd go and win these 3 home games, and Ipswich are right near the bottom.

You'd probably expect atleast 7-9 points from these 4 games.

If you're looking at Forest in 6th as the team we need to do better than - they're playing Hull, Brighton, Burnley and Blackpool.

We can certainly make up some ground on them in this next run of games.

I have been to the last 6 games and we are so much better than before Xmas.we have been dominating teams but losing late gls, even if we do not make it to play offs we have the core of a top 2 side next season.pelts being moved to cb has been a revelation and he has good understanding with lees.

spot on superwhites, if we don't sneak into the playoffs this season, barring a typical Leeds im-plosion in the summer, we would have a great chance next season.

If we do sneak into the playoffs, I would not bet against us - hard side to beat now

We have a number of fans (genuine Leeds United fans of course...?) that seem to think Leeds United should roll over and give up the chase...!

Priceless isn't it...?

You say we wod have a grate chance next season with this team?

Will we with put nw in charge? They are nw players and r nw men. Only he can get the best out of them? And many of them are a year older and lots over 30 has it is.

And a new manager coud come in and rip it up with his own mind.
