I may have this completely wrong, forgive me if I do, but is that Ben Cohen you have on the wing? I don't think he played on the Lions tour in 2001 other than in one midweek game where he scored two tries. And he wasn't involved when we got battered in 2005 by NZ. Find it strange you've picked him...
My team would be basically the 1997 Lions with Hastings at 15 instead of Jenkins and Robinson and Bentley on the wings. That team in 97 knew how to play rugby the right way. I'd probably add BOD instead of Guscott with JG as a replacement when legs were tiring.
Richard Hill, imho is the best blind side flanker there has ever been. I played rugby with a lad who was representing Yorkshire in the County U18 cup final at Twickenham and was convinced he was going to make it (had talks with Leicester and Wasps leading up to the game), his opposite number was Richard Hill and he said he just didn't get a look in, it was the only time he has been completely mullered every time he got the ball and was beaten to every breakdown. Said he was a machine. Needless to say Charlie never got taken on and ended up playing National League rugby for a few years nefore his career took over.

Hey KEIOC,
Agree on Richard Hill - I read his autobiography and his preparation before games was way ahead of its time. I'd love to see how he would fare today at his peak

Cohen over Shane Williams?

Personally I never rated shane Williams (I know most people would be up in arms about that).
The real reason I would have included cohen for though would have been for his defensive work. He's the best defensive winger ive ever seen. When you've got robinson, bowe, odriscoll, davies and guscott in your team, you don't really need to worry too much about your left winger scoring tries.

Cohen's star may not have shone for as long as Williams but Cohen was the man who destroyed the southern hemisphere sides for clive woodward, big tries against the All Blacks and the Aussies
