After the last few months I felt we may be only one or two players short of challenging for the league. Today has brought me back down to earth. Try as we might to palm the 'one man team' jibes away, it is starting to become a little worrying. I honestly don't think we deserved to lose today but there were so many of the team who looked poor. Defoe was non existent and I am sick of his form - it happens every season and I hope he is sold in the Summer. His supposed love for the club is not enough I'm afraid. Sigurdsson - what is his preferred position because he's carp wherever he plays. Livermore - just get rid. A shocking player who should thank God that he ever played for Tottenham. Walker - I thought his form from last season was returning over the last few games but obviously not. BAE - looks like his 'couldn't care less about his profession attitude' has finally caught up with him. I honestly thought we would lose today (due a defeat and a tough place to go) but we should have had a point at least. How did we throw it away? We have still got some very hard games to play so come on you Spurs. Give it all for these last 9 games and banish the memories of last year's Champions League injustice.

As for Defoe, he was not passing back. He was simply "in the way of the ball". He should not have been there.

this is just a really poor article.
the problem with being 3 months undefeated is that when we actually lose, this happens.
it was poor individual errors that happen to every team in the world a couple of times a season.
even the great messi missed a pen last season when barca were knocked out by chelsea.
individual errors happened.
its just that today we saved up all of them from the last few months and they happened in one game.

hes young and still learning the game, he has made plenty of mistakes this season with Livermore on the bench

There has never been a penalty taker who has not missed a penalty kick. The Prem average is somewhere like 60-40 in favor of the kicker.

livermore was awful today though weare...
he just gets in the way of any move that is looking promising, and he gave the ball away for fun.
hes just not good enough and i dunno what on earth redknapp and avb are doing giving him minutes in our team. his lack of ability sticks out like a sore thumb.
its not his fault, hes just not good enough and thats all there is to it.
how he has got an england cap i will never ever know.

Livermore was most likely the reason Walker tried passing all the way back to Lloris.
Of course, if Walker is asked why he did it, he ain't going to say "because Livermore is not trustworthy".
But I will bet money that AVB starts Holtby from now on. Let that be the test .... what AVB does after today.
