Uli Hoeness - 'Whenever we were looking for a new coach, Wenger was always one we considered. He has always remained loyal to Arsenal'.
He rejected the biggest clubs in Europe to stay with us. People have short memories. Unappreciative, disloyal s.

You disagree that it's easy to take a big pay check and not have to deliver trophies?

People should realise that Arsene needs us more than we need him! He's sitting on top wages, with full backing and no real pressure to achieve much, has the club in his palm and can use it to test his philosophies and projects why would he throw it all away ?
He's probably terrified of the idea to join another top club in modern day football too demanding!

What a load of tosh is that, Inventor. Wenger could have an easy life at Bayern. Wenger also could have more money at Real Madrid who wanted him by all means.
He stayed at Arsenal. Like it or not but Wenger loves Arsenal and obviously feels he has a mission.

Inventor just proves once again that his opinions here are not worth paying attention with that shocker of a comment.

One of the greatest managers of his generation, could have had his choice of Europe's top clubs if he had wanted but decided he would see out his career building Arsenal.

I think people appreciate that Wenger loves the club and everything he has done for us, I just think people have had enough of our shortcomings.
Having a manager who loves the club, but is failing just isn't enough for most people I'm afraid...

I think the reason of Wenger's rejection of Bayern's advances is that he wants to have full control.
At Bayern, he would have had Hoeness, Beckenbauer and Rummenigge breathing down his neck - all of them, to put it mildly - "forceful personalities".
