Much to be admired from the Bundesliga and German football in general.

While their model I don't think is an entirely perfect one, it does seem the best around.

What they don't tell you is the cheaper ticket prices are leading to more far right people attending games and football violence is on the rise in Germany.

They are an excellently run club, but their circumstances are far different to Arsenal's. They have always been a huge club and a European powerhouse, far ahead of any of their competitors in Germany. They have been what Man Utd were before Arsenal, Chelsea and City started to realistically compete with them, and the advantages that Utd still have over the rest of the clubs in our league apply to Bayern too.

It's a little unfair to expect Arsenal to be able to operate in the same way (although we could definitely learn a few things) as we could never enjoy the market share that they do (to put it in business-speak). Also, Arsenal had to try to grow quickly to compete in a more competitive environment against the Billionaire owners that don't exist in the German league. We came from a position where had enjoyed a good amount of domestic success but were never a big club internationally in football or financial terms until relatively recently.

But still, not knocking Bayern. They are an excellent model. But then potentially so are we.

What you've said about how Bayern were already at a huge advantage is spot on but Arsenal could certainly take something.

It feels like in England we set ticket prices to what we think our fans maximum is rather than anything else.

The fact standing has been introduced also shows theyhave the supporters interests at heart.

Standing should be introduced, clubs should be allowed if the fans wish it to introduce the new safe standing areas.

Modern grounds have moved on from death traps like hillsborough.

Yeah agreed manc, it's all about SAFE standing, could really improve the atmosphere at some grounds as well as provide more affordable tickets.
