Norwegian Tournament Preview Group B

Group B

Pope

Team: Aalesunds FK

Odds: 10 – 1

Previous Tournament Performances: N/A

Ranked: N/A

A harsh introduction for the newcomer with three well-seasoned opponents to take on including the reigning champ. With Virus and Kent looking pretty formidable his best chance of points will be from Oscar which would represent a good start to his tournament career, basically this tournament will be a learning curve for him.

Verdict: Group-Stages

Oscar

Team: Henefoss BK

Odds: 9 – 1

Previous Tournament Performances: Group-Stages, Group-Stages, Group-Stages

Ranked: 20th

Oscar made for a shock replacement in the anniversary tournament having not been seen for a while. This shock appearance saw him ease off the hand brake style and take the game to his opponents which yielded some results. As for this tournament I can’t see him finishing above Virus or Kent and I hope we don’t see any of the quitting antics that he tends to do every now and then!

Verdict: Group-Stages

Virus

Team: Molde

Odds: 2 – 1

Previous Tournament Performances: Quarter-Finals, Quarter-Finals

Ranked: 13th

Two tournaments on from his debut and Virus has proved to be a decent player who can hold his own against the best, however this tournament will test how far he can really go. Having being handed an easy enough group and a great team by Norwegian standards he should be looking to reach at least the semi-finals, anything else will be dubbed a flop really, time to see what you’re really made of Virus!

Verdict: Final

Kent

Team: Sogndal

Odds: 3 – 1

Previous tournament performances: Semi-final, final, group stages, final, final, final, winner

Ranked: 2nd

Well he finally did it last official tournament, Kent climbed to the top of the mountain in his fifth final appearance. The anniversary tournament didn’t bring him much joy as Voom knocked him out basically the same way Kent him out and that may give Voom a psychological edge. Both Voom and SpursBoy have won tournaments like this with bad teams, if Kent wants to prove he is indeed one of the best he has to win tournaments like this, will he? No. I expect him to reach the semi-finals and go out, but not sure who will knock him out.

Verdict: Semi-Final

Seems like a very tough group. I just want to hold my own in it
