He was by my standards world class no doubt, just people have different definitions of it. I have even heard some suggest that if you cannot make a world XI you are not world class!

I am always careful when calling players world class, you never know what nutter is going to be lurking and expect you to justify that player being world class by their standards...

Torres. That is what playing for Liverpool does to you. Carrying a team for so long has detrimental effects on an individual.

Torres given that Valencia has always be a rather limited, functional type winger.

Valencia has over the past 7 months regressed to a point Torres couldn't regress to if he tried, and boy has he been trying for the past 3 years or so!

Torres was easily one of the best strikers in the world so he has clearly regressed more.
