A New Mega-Tournament

World’s leading football clubs to be offered enormous financial inducements to participate in a 24-team tournament every two years in Qatar Qatari Royal Family - DFL is prepared to offer clubs an astonishing €200m per two-year cycle! If all goes to plan, the tournament could be taking place as early as 2015! Its plan is to have four of England’s most prestigious clubs among 16 “permanent" DFL members, with a further eight global clubs. DFL’s idea is that the sums involved would lead clubs to make the tournament their top priority, even ahead of the Champions League priority 175m Prize money proposed to each participating club per two-year tournament cycle.

On another note. I hope Tottenham get 4th (not 3rd) this season above Arsenal. Spurs would never give up on a second leg just because they are 3-1 down.

Arsenal have de-valued the Carling Cup, the FA Cup and now a Champions League Knockout game involving two heavy weights.

Completely defeatist attitude from Arsene.

We were 3-0 down at half time and in a glorious 6 minutes we got 3 goals. That's football. Anything can happen. That happened in the space of 6 minutes, imagine what can happen in 90.

They've given up before a ball is kicked. It's pathetic, but its what I expect of Arsenal football club nowadays. Shame, they were once a great football club.
