I wanted to write an article which summed up my experience this weekend. In short, as a travelling Spurs supporter I thought it was perhaps one of the best weekends I've had in a long time!
I managed to book a hotel near John Lennon airport for 3 of us (2 Spurs fans and 1 Liverpool fan) for cheap for 2 nights, staying Saturday and Sunday night. On the Saturday, we went for a curry which was probably the biggest disappointment of the evening. However, we then went on to Market Square and had a great night, drinking in various bars/clubs and meeting some great people!
Sunday, we all went the The Arkles and I must say this was how football should be. Liverpool and Spurs fans drinking together, friendly banter and I really felt Liverpool was a welcoming place. Proper fans doing it the right way.
I then headed into the away end with 1 of my mates whilst the other joined the rest of the home fans in the Anfield Road end. Have to say, YNWA before kick off was abit disappointing but the rendition at the end when you were winning made up for it. I won't speak about the game itself!
That evening, we headed to Matthew Street and once again had a great night!
Every scouser we met was friendly and I have to say the birds were superb!
Overall, perhaps one of the best away trips to experience (unless perhaps your a United fan!).
Not something I usually do but just wanted you to read what I personally feel would be the majority opinion on your club and city

This is how football should be. Liverpool city centre is a good place for a night out and gets a lot of visitors these days. If all away fans could have days like this it would be fantastic whatever city they visited.

Liverpool is great city, mind u even as a lfc fan i quite liked manchester as well...oops.

You've experienced more than most so called LFC fans on here since they've never been to Liverpool. They support solely thru forums and live streams......
