I know he scored tonight but I am now getting so sick of him that it has come to the stage I would rather see Gervinho in the team.
He was a complete and utter shambles yet again and with the exception of 5 goals in a week in January he has been a shambles for pretty much the entire season.
His decision making is a joke, his hold up play is non existent, the ball just bounces off him ffs. He barely wins any headers and when he does, he can't direct them. His movement in the box is non existent, look at him when Walcott put in that great ball midway through the first half. "A striker's dream" is what you would call it but Giroud was nowhere near, as he so often is for the majority of matches. He is more concerned with linking play then spearheading our attack, it would be ok if he was actually a decent link man but his touch is worse than Bendtner's, he has no pace and his passing accuracy is often below 50%. Not to mention he is a selfish muppet, how many times has he just whacked at a ball from 40 yards out? It must be infuriating for his team mates.
Should I write him off completely, well no because it is his first season but I see no signs in him that he will ever come close to being an Adebayor never mind a Van Persie replacement. If Podolski is injured then play Gervinho up front. It is not ideal because he is trash but Giroud must be shown he is not untouchable. You can't put in dreadful performances on a weekly basis and expect to start the next match.

Waclott to replace Giroud as CF. Problem solved. Wenger didnt do that. So why?
-------------------------
Did you even read my post? I stated quite clearly 'experienced'. Bayern have the best defense in Europe. Wenger even stated this in his post match interview. Walcott is only transitioning to the striker role. There was no way he could have played there effectively as was shown in the first leg. Next year it will be different because Walcott will have a pre-season in that role and some experience from this season. Plus we will have better players behind so that a small striker will not be easily bullied out of position. A holding midfielder and a faster centre back will allow the midfield to push up in support of a smaller striker. That will also dictate what type of striker Arsene brings in. If it is a Joevtic, Bergkamp type, Arsene will be able to employ Theo in a Owen type position during the game.
Unfortunately your endless support of Giroud gives the impression that you see him a starter. We could have done with a better striker yesterday and all of Giroud's weaknesses were magnified in that game.

love it.......Giroud scores and some of the Gooners complaining that his not good enough for Arsenal. Haha play Walcott upfront instead...yeah he was amazing against Bayern at the Emirates . Haha Giroud plays 1 good game in 15 matches...speaking of 15, that the amount of goals his scored in his first season in English football so far.
I haven't heard one commentator in this country who think Giroud hasn't had a good game.....Maybe its because they are still drooling over Wilshere.
In my opinion Giroud is a class striker, but not world class at this moment, but he still has potential to be world class, technically good, great in the air, powerful, links play very well think he needs to work a little more on his finishing but thing i like the most about him, is his work rate and he actually fights for the badge on his chest, id have him over Robin Van Persie any day.
Walcott disappears when he's playing up upfront alone. He's far more deadly cutting in from the wings after Giroud's created him the space. If Arsenal play with two strikers and a more direct passing, Walcott could be a fantastic striker. But with this formation and style, Giroud is the only one who fits in this system.

I don't agree with a lot of what you've said. But even then, you can't seriously mean this.

Yes i am serious....RVP was a world class player for one season but Giroud has a few years ahead of him and scoring 15 goals in his debut season and should get 20 this season is top class. Obviously Giroud finishing hasn't been good enough but if he execute that in his play and you could see a 25-30 goal striker in a few years. The priority in the summer is buy a world class CB and sell Vermaelen and buy a DM. Vermaelen has always had a poor positioning and he doesn't keep a line in shape.
