I'm from a military family. Old Man got posted to TA centre in Oldbury when I was 13. Went to Bristnall Hall school, a hotbed of Baggieism, started going to the Hawthorns with all my new mates...............

When I was a young lad my step dad at the time was a Stoke fan. As we didn't get on too well I thought any team but them.
Derek Parkin who played for Wolves at the time lived a couple of streets away, so that probably turned my head.
If only Franz Beckenbauer hadn't had his offer turned down for the house next door how different my life as a football fan could have been.
