wouldnt touch barton.would prefer to have a narrow midfield this season to help protect back four especially with an attacking full back in mears.my midfield pratley or davies,muamba(holden when fit),reo coker,eagles.would still go for weiss keep him as impact sub along with petrov.

I don't see OC interested. He might well have played wide right for the toon, but he's not the out and out winger that OC appears to like..

Maybe we need to bite the moral high ground bullit. Some of the top teams ala united have accepted even cherished tools as players to win games. Barton was one of best midfielders in prem last season and maybe coyle can tame the guy. In fact stevie g should have been done for assault yet question him to a Liverpool fan.

Plenty of good clubs will want him. Heck if fergie can defend Rooney assaulting wigans mcarthy on the pitch he may even go for him.
