Are we seeing benefits of FFP already for..

...the England team???

I don't know about anyone else but it's always been frustrating players who haven't lived up to expectations constantly being picked for England. It seemed like the usual suspects playing for bigger clubs were set in stone for the red and white jersey.

Lets not kid ourselves, the big clubs will still continue to supply the players for the England team, maybe there's some justification for that because the big clubs play in the big competitions and this is good grounding for playing in international tournaments.

However, are we now seeing players that may never have been given a chance to either play or establish themselves in the past, but can do so now because clubs are setting up their squads with English players to satisfy the FFP rules.

Players like Smalling, Phil Jones, Wilshire, Gibbs, Milner, Adam Johnson, Henderson, Kelly, Carroll, Downing, McEachran, Sturridge, Welbeck, Young, Cleverly.

Not saying we should replace the whole England team but will more players get the chance to filter through in greater numbers?

How was his Wigan loan 'successful'? injured for half of it and couldn't get in the team when he wasn't. I'll tell you this now, in 4 years McEachran will be the better player, Cleverly probably won't be at United at that time.

TBF it's unlikely chelsea would let him go on a free so the 5 year contract doesn't matter. Not saying he'll end up elsewhere but do you think he'll make it in the first team?? I really doubt Cleverly will tbh. Whoever said they'll be playing for another team I think is the more likely scenario.

What an idiotic reply. And I was not wumming.

What difference does a f year contract make?

Chelsea have not bought anyone through from their youth since Terry.

Will he be given time by the impatient Roman? That is what I was getting at.

Not hard to work out either considering Chelseas transfer policies for the last six years.

If McEch is at Chelsea unlucky for him.

Paul Pogba will be running the Peemier League by then. Making young Joshy look like the poor-mans Fletcher that he is. Coltish.
