If Brighton beat Palace today, they'll be level on points with us but a worse goal difference.
We are still on course for promotion at the minute albeit via the play offs but we've still got to play Palace, Watford, Brighton and Forest.
The plus point to all those is they like to play football and we seem to play better against those kinda teams.
I really hope we're having our last sticky patch of the season and we can push through at Wembley!
We're still 6th

We beat Brighton 1-0 I think it was. I remember it was tight. Palace beat us down here though. They are the best team I have seen this year

I still think Pearson had to go because we've thrown away a massive chance to go up automatically and that blame has to fall at the managers feet.
What position were we in when Sven got sacked???

We are not "on course for promotion". We are firmly on a course that has seen us descend from 2nd to 5th, and from 5th to 6th. Unless there is a 180° swing of the tiller, soon, we are on course for another year in the Championship. But not I suspect, and now hope, under Pearson.

Spoon - 2 points outside the playoffs if I recall correctly.
Also Pearson must stay because it's the best chance we've got of going up this season, and probably next season as well.

Wasn't that the highest Sven ever got us?

I think we'd have got up with Sven

I think we'd have had many successful years in the Premiership if we'd kept Peter Taylor.

Spoonfox - I agree. It will go down in the club's history as one of great "if only"s.....
