Target 78 points :-( We are currently 8th!

If we win all our remaining games will get to 78 points. On the plus side we are still currently 8th, but the major set back is now being 6 points behind Brighton (I know its 5 points, but to make sure of that playoff place we would need to pull back 6 points!)

Very disappointed in the result on Saturday. Simply not good enough from the team. Benny and Nunns had commented during our winning run that we were still playing awful and it would only be a matter of time before the luck would run out and it did on Saturday.

I still don't understand the merits of playing a 35 year old striker for 30 mins when the game was crying out for some pace up front and a creative spark from the middle of the park. I'm fully behind DF and his team, but can't help thinking that this was obvious even from just listening to the radio commentary! Anyways we move on now to Charlton.

We wrote off an automatic spot on Sat, but we still have an outside chance of the playoffs. Simply put we now have to win all our remaining games!

Think Dougie got the sub wrong this time. Coyle left Davies out for a few weeks last season and then he came back and bagged a couple of goals, maybe DF should do the same. I don't understand why he keeps giving SKD a game when he has barely touched the ball when he has played the last few weeks. A loan striker is a must

Was going to do an article on this but may as well put it here.

Addressing the away form is a must!
We seem to be unbeatable at home since February,
Played 5 Won 5
Away,
Played 5 Won 1 Lost 2 Drawn 2

I personally love the fact the Reebok is now a fortress and that's still an average of two points a game which over the course of the season is title winning form, (Just ask Cardiff who are only one point above averaging exactly 2 points a game)
However in our current position, due to the poor start we need to start turning draws into wins and losses into draws away from home, we've not been that far off and if we can do that we will make the playoffs.

For me the current away form is in part a reflection of the desire to stop the rot; which to DFs defense he has succeeded.
For the first time in many years, I'm not concerned about relegation, and in addition we have something positive to build on.
Whilst promotion brings money, and failure does not, I can't help thinking that taking a positive momentum into next season in the Championship would, in the long term, be more beneficial than promotion and a battering in the EPL

Leicester away, Cardiff away - really anything above two points would be an unexpected bonus.

All the other games look winnable in principle. We won't win them all, cannot say exactly where and when we will slip up, but I would guess we will win 4, draw 2 and lose 2 at the absolute worst. That would get us to 68, which is never quite enough. It always takes more than 70 points to get into the play-offs.

So its tough and we will need to keep a high level of form right up the final game.

Promotion this season is now an added bonus. With the additions DF has brought in and his reinvigoration of the early season flops I feel confident of a real push for promotion next season!
