Yes, thanks for posting this. Patel sounds like an intelligent bloke. I still worry that they're going to turn out to be short-term profiteers who sell us to someone like the Venkys.

I keep trawling for info, hoping to read that NW has left Elland Rd. Yes, there's a mathematical chance we could still make it but now after Huddersfield it's highly unlikely.

NW had a hard job to do and he did what he could...but it wasn't good enough, and I wonder whether anyone could have pulled it off under the conditions he worked under. Must have been a complete mare...but his mouth and his tactics have let him down too many times. Not the shrewdest of managers we've had, even though he was a big improvement on SG.

Will we see some decent investment in PLAYERS this summer? That is the most important question, after finding a new manager, of course. Interesting what Patel said about bringing the young players on. With a bubble waiting to burst in the transfer market, you can't buy quality unless you spend silly money.

We desperately need a creative midfielder though!

I didn't rate this; I'm always suspicious of eloquent individuals - they are also capable of 'spinning a yarn'.

He's certainly intelligent; I'm now only hoping that everything he said was sincere and truthful.

Personally, I prefer a person to tell it straight and painful if they've something to SAY that they know I won't particularly like.

The jury's out, but for now things are slowly moving in the right direction.

Given the latest news I rather think that Mr Patel was leading the interviewer down the garden path.....
