As for your previous posts mate do you honestly believe getting rid of Barton arguably your best and most consistant performer last season can be anything but negative? Forget his previous antics off the pitch and judge him by what he does on it.

I like Newcastle and their passionate support and selling off your best performers is nothing short of sticking 2 fingers up at you.

Sorry mate, you are wrong. I have a sort of soft spot for Barton being someone who actually gives a f.ck. But for how long can you let him play top dog, and scare the sh.t out of the young and new lads? How long can you let him rule the roost and have his own way?

He has brought it on himself in lots of ways. And yes, he is a decent player, but let's face it, he has only done it for one season. He spent plenty of time either At Her Majesty's Pleasure, injured or banned. And we put up with the lot, and paid his wages when he was in clink/banned/injured. He has had one decent season and scored 4 goals.

He owes us, we don't owe him. Time to get rid, as long as we get someone else in.

The season before you took him off us I believe he kept us up single handedly and although I had become mythed with his contract negotiations at the time I was happy that we had someone who played with his commitment.

That said when you stumped up the money to take him I felt relief that he had finally gone and we were rid of his bad boy antics but we had the false dawn of Thaksin to look forward to.

He may well owe you for standing by him but what is Ashley playing at Houghton, Carroll, Nolan, now Barton who next? Ashley is selling you short still, wtf will this season bring if he is allowed to carry on in this vein?
