I've heard some Spurs fans talking about this collapse that might be on its way. and their calling for AVBs head this is complete and utter nonsense. He's done a good job lets be honest he's been led down the garden path and i don't think any of the signings made in the summer were his Daniel Levy took control. Dempseys had his moments but has been average, Sigi has just started coming good, Dembeles been decent but looks like he's tiring towards the end of the season.Spurs fans love Levy for what he's apparently done to the club but we have always been 1 or 2 world class strikers off top 4 and our squad is weaker than last season and somehow AVB's still got us challenging for top 4. Losing Luka and VDV has effected us. Parkers been poor, Dembeles been good but hes more of a powerful player and has not got the same attributes when the games tight and teams sit back he cant pick the pass out to unlock a defense. Adebayor and defoe have been terrible. Adebayor seems to of got his permanent move and doesn't care one bit. Defoes being his usual self goes through spells of scoring then drys up for 10 games. We've been carried by the one and only Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon at times, we should of kept andros Townsend just in case one of them got injured or atleast signed someone as cover.
AVB's done well with an average team who isn't top 4 quality that's me being honest with major injuries to Sandro and Kaboul make us even weaker. Were building a new stadium and were going to be a mid table team that's going to be playing in it inless we invest real quality in to the team and not sell our best players i.e Modric, VDV and Bales going to be gone too at the end of this one if we don't hold on to the champions league spot! We sign Lewis Holtby and seemed well up for signing and works hard but now cant get a look in at the moment. AVB does need to stop worrying about the critics and take some risks and that risk could be letting tommy carrol take the role of playmaker, dembele looks tired and with 2 games in a week one of a Thursday and one on a Sunday he looks exhausted and out of ideas. Tom looks quality just needs a chance he come on against Fulham and we started to open them up he has an eye for a pass and right now we need that, and need to hope defoe or adebayor come into form or that Bale carries us, or it will be heartbreak at the end of the season again!

@Edinspur
I would agree with Walker Chicken, I also think AVB has done a poor job getting the best out of BAE as well.
===================
I think BAE links up with Bale extremely well, which gives us a positive dimention. But i suppose when you put Bale in the free role, half of the dimention disappears. This is where the right balance has to come into it.
Are we stronger with BAE + Bale on the left, or with Bale in the free role + BAE looking a bit lost?
Its down to one man (or group of men) to decide on that - we can only comment on it.

Mousssaa.........................No youre right on the crucial prem games. Would just like to see him start against Basel, maybe rest Siggy for him.

So you don't think the Quarter Final of the Europa League is a crucial game then? It is our only chance of winning something this season!

And here comes the 'top 4 or cup' arguement. Of course it is a crucial game but im pretty confident Tom could fill in and do a good job against Basel. Especially if he had Parker/ Dembele either side of him.

I know, also did United a few years back! Just think somewhere along the line somethings got to give. The effect on the players is there to see.

"RDBD, or we could just try and win it?"
At the expense of a CL place ??
If both are currently beyond the current squad, and focusing on both means missing out on one, which do you value most ??

Basel beat United just over 17 months ago in the CL! We treat them lightly at our peril!!

and what makes you think AVB has been led down the garden path and that none of the signings are his ?

Which of the incomings apart from Adebayor, would you have down as Levy 'possibles' ??

It never fails to amaze me when peope makes statements like this when there is no possible way they can know one way or another.
For all he knows AVB made every summer signing and turned down god knows how many others. On the other hand AVB might have been given a budget of 3p. We honestly have no idea one way or another.
