Further to Don_tottenham's article yesterday with regards to the Europa League Final, .JPB mentioned that in Amsterdam the bars are not allowed to show the finals that are happening in the city...... Well as I'm resident here in the Netherlands, I did a little digging, and have had a response from the Amsterdam tourist board as follows:-
"Thank you for your mail.
I’m not 100% sure but most of the time finals will always be available to watch on TV, so I think the Europa Cup Final also. Not all the bars in Amsterdam have a TV. Places I would recommend you to go to see the game is Leidse plein or Rembrandtplein. There are a lot of bars who have television."
So they are not completely sure. Added to the fact that a work colleague, also said that for the Euro's in 2012, there wasn't any huge large screens up in town centres and bars were not allowed extra large screens like there was for the World Cup in 2010. I was around for the world cup and it was fab watching the games on these huge screens, but for the Euro's I was working in Norway, so cannot give a ya or nah.
With this info, I'll most likely watch it in my local Irish pub in Tilburg...... at least I know I'll be able to see the game.......... unless I'm lucky to get a ticket via contacts or here.
Hope this is helpful advice.
Cheers COYS!

Do you think you will beat FC Basel
Hmm interesting, they've won the Swiss league 8 times in 11 seasons, haven't finished outside the top 3 in the last 15 years
They have a good team, at home they're strong, been in the CL alot, I think it will be tough, on paper the average fan will say we will win with ease, in reality they're a tough side

My Father-In-law Is a spurs fan he said this is the best chance Spurs have had to make a final, but teams that you think they should beat sometimes don't. Bale has been outstanding for you this season, hope you make it my father-in-law will be chuffed

I'd agree, we avoided Chelsea, Newcastle, Benfica and other top sides, Basel is a great draw
If we win that it's the semi's and we can get to the final, it's rubbish it's 4 more games though, should be straight knockout

We avoided Chelsea and Villa in the FA Cup semis not so long ago and everybody told me Portsmouth was a great draw
