Sent to Coventry

Well, what can I say. Just listening to radio, it said Doncaster Rovers have been in touch with Coventry City over where they will be playing on Friday and if the game will go ahead. Didn't know it was that bad.

Azza, how i agree with that bit about making teams start again in the Conference.
The Scottish League had the b a l l s to virtually do that with Rangers by demoting them to Division Three.
Clubs owners see administration as an easy way out.
Lots of small businesses get burned in the process.
Yes people do care, i care because clubs like the ones mentioned above continue to disregard the rules and giving themselves financial advantages over clubs like the Rovers.
Swindon have done similar things this season in their transfer dealings.
If a club goes out of business then they technically dont exist so they shouldnt automatically get a league place when they reform the following week as "whoever 2013 Ltd".

Hound, I think the with the SFA making an example and following through with the demotion of its most successful club team to the basement division of its league structure, it can be performed anywhere especially in league 1! The english FA, as you put it, don't have the b a l l s too.

Coventry City Football Club issue statement following this morning's proceedings in the High Court
Coventry City Football Club have released a statement following the outcome of this morning's High Court hearing.

Tim Fisher, CEO Coventry Football Club said: "I acknowledge that ACL has now accepted that it must withdraw its administration application from the High Court notwithstanding the fact that this was an unwelcome and unnecessary distraction.

"I hope all parties will now focus on re-establishing a constructive dialogue for the good of the Club and football in Coventry. We would like to ensure that Coventry City Football Club can, in the first instance, continue to play its remaining home matches this season at the Ricoh Arena.”

Well Done CCFC for the fans

This doesn't really clarify the position and it's probable that CCFC will still be deducted at least 10 points but may be allowed to continue to play in the Ricoh.

It is as clear as mud.
There is an article on the BBC Sport website which more clearly explains what is going on.
The court case has been put back to 2pm today and Coventry's situation still hangs in the balance.
The statement mentioned above is by a club spokesman and tries to deflect attention.
