West H v West B

Pointless, boring International footy out the way and back to the proper stuff

Weekends without The Baggies suck.

Tough game, against a team that is struggling. A team that need a win or 2 to keep ahead of the bottom 4, who have suddenly started picking up points. I think West Ham will get the points they need, but I think they'll have too look at getting those points after we visit got a good feeling about this one.

My second visit to The Boleyn ground. I went to the 2-2 in 2010 and with it being a night match and being a little too pi55ed, I can't remember much. Will be good getting down there early and sampling some East End boozers

Traditionally, or at least the last decade or so, our games with West Ham have been pretty exciting, nail biting ones full of goals.
(Ignoring the 0-0 at The Hawthorns back in Dec of course

Hammers games that stick out in the memory :

WBA 3-3 West Ham (2011) - 3-0 up at HT and some of the best football we played all that season. Hodgson was in the stand watching his new team and was going rosey. And then came the second half where West Ham got a deserved draw after we really blew it. Demba Ba was giving us nightmares.

West Ham 3-4 WBA (2004) - 3-0 down after half an hour. The away fans started singing 'we're gonna win 4-3'....more in hope and banter than in expectation and realism. But that's exactly what happened. Epic game.

So....

Any other Baggies going down to this one?
Predictions?
Team line up thoughts & predictions?

And...

Hammers fans thoughts on the game?

Agree.

He's scored goals at some big clubs.

A run of 3/4 starts with decent game time....then we can make a fair and proper judgement on him.

Anybody ever been to the Albion pub in London.

Looks epic. Think I'm going to go on Saturday if possie.

It's a great pub, bit of a walk from Bethnal Green station, but worth it.

That said it's a good few years since I've been so don't quote me on that.

Nice one DE.

Sounds like a must for a Baggie when visiting London.

Well worth a visit, but as others have said, it's s fair trek to the West Ham ground. Went there before the 3-4 game, was a fantastic day!

Youssouf Mulumbu, what were you thinking?

posted on 30/3/13

Yeah, that's very poor from him. God knows what he was thinking. He thought it was a full-time whistle hence he got frustrated.

Thanks for the 3 points..

Fair play Hammers a deserved win.

Same problems keep cropping up away from home though for us. Too slow starting games away from home. Why hasn't Clarke addressed this?

I think one of the main differences between the teams today was that one was safe and seeing out the season, whilst the other was involved in a relegation fight.
