Hamilton returns to the glens

You could'nt make it up !

Now Gary Hamilton has been welcomed back to Glentoran with open arms after agreeing to take a £50 p/w pay cut meaning he will have to get by on £850 a week now.

Lambert & Butler is not cheap theese days and it must also be known that before Linfield got Rory Patterson we were offered Hamilton only for him to thankfully pull out of the talks because his wages were way above our salery cap.

Great miss if ya ask me, im well pleased with Patterson but i cant believe the glens would take a player back on those terms even after he has bled there club dry when they were going through the worst financial period of the clubs history by picking up his £900 p/w salery without even being in Belfast let alone kicking a ball !

Desperate measures if ya ask me .......

Sounds like he has returned to the Oval with his tail between his legs, he owes them big time after his antics last season.

Like a lady of the night in Amelia Street, he has been flashing his you know whats to the highest bidder.

Lucky escape for us me thinks.

I wonder was their abit of pressure put on Jimmy Krankie to get Hamilton back in the 1st team squad,if you read between the lines they didn't get Patterson or Knight so the next option is to get Hamilton back in the fold then tell everybody that its in the clubs best interest's blah blah blah

EARL:
Does that sort of thing still go on in Amelia Street? I thought, apart from the Old Crown, it was all pizza joints now!

were does the OP get the information from about hamiltons wages. thats far from the truth. hamilton took a pay cut at the glens which dropped from 900 p/w to 500 p/w.

although i have to agree with EARL that he really does owe us big time. i never liked him at the glens before he went to glenavon and certainly didnt want him back now.

he was a liability and a premadona. !!!!!
