JEZ Vs DEANO BRENT Round 1

well i may be wrong but i think publicly this is the first time the same song sheet is not being song from our Jezza and Brenty as they appear to be contradicting each other massively in the press today.

DEANO BRENT;

“The club don’t feel like we can take on another wage on top of the current wage bill, with the Financial Fair Play rules coming in," said boss Dean Saunders.

“A lot of players we tried to get wouldn’t come here unless they had contracts at the end of it.

“What’s been said to me – and I understand it – is if we don’t stay up, we’ll have players with wages which aren’t going to work in League One.

“As the manager, I’ve got to understand that."

JEZZ'A THE HUTT;

“The problem is not a lack of money but a lack of available players who can make a positive difference.

Now i may not be the sharpest tool in the box....but that reads to me as being to very different reasons why the lack of loan business was conducted??....in fact they seem to be saying the opposite thing that the other has said.....so surely both statements can not be correct?
ergo....someone is not being entirely truthful.....so let battle commence

I haven't renewed yet but inevitably will.

I wish I had some hope that we will have a half-decent manager in place for next season, whichever league we are in. I have a nasty feeling that Deano will still be here even if he takes us down. Of Morgans 3 awful appointments this clueless buffoon is the worst.

Connor is the worst Roger, and I doubt we will ever have anyone worse. Stale was certainly not much better and Saunders has 8 games left to gain some credibility

It really doesn't matter who is in charge as long as Morgan is at the top of the pyramid. He cares not about anything but his houses and the acquisition of land in Wolverhampton's green belt.

He is British, though, so it isn't all bad

All 3 have been rubbish. I sympathised with Connor as he was dropped in it and seemed like a nice guy who was way out of his depth. Stale wasn't given time to deliver his brief although the omens were not good. Saunders is an arrogant fool who does not have the requisite skills for the job and was appointed purely because of Morgans poor judgement. If, by some miracle he keeps us up he has merely repaired the damage he had done so far. Any capable manager would have this squad mid-table at worst.

I agree with most of that Roger. But Connor was not dropped in it - he was asked if he wanted the job and said yes. Stale would not have delivered his brief if he had been given 20 years - talked a good show but hadn't got a clue how to implement it. If Saunders keeps us up I will be happy - what matters is whats good for the club and relegation certainly would not be. Summer is the time to give views on Saunders, no help to the club to slag him off now, what he and the club needs now is support

Saunders is a breath of fresh air, compared to Solbakken. We all hope he can keep Wolves up, but if we go down, I'd fancy him to rejuvenate the club in a fresh-start. (Sorry about not being negative.)

Saunders hasn't improved the results or the performances and our league position is considerably worse than when he took over. I don't see how this can be described as a "breath of fresh air" or how him getting us relegated would fill anyone with confidence about him being the man to save the club.

If Morgan had made a decent appointment when he rightly sacked Stale, we wouldn't be in this mess.

I hope we stay up as relegation will be a disaster and will be there today cheering us on. The place for negativity is on here, not at the match!

I am convinced that Saunders was an dreadful mistake and hope against hope that he won't be here next season but the most important thing is getting behind the team and hoping for the best.

The best manager in my lifetime of supporting Wolves followed by three of the worst.

Could only happen at Wolves!
