Is FFP another Bosman?

Not sure if anyone has seen this.

One of the Bosman Lawyers claims FFP will breach European Competition law.
They'll be more of this stuff coming along the closer it gets and if they try and implement constraints on clubs. Thoughts?

It is a rule implemented that is trying to defraud the fans of the game we love, it will kill aspiration and therefore competition by creating a chasm in every league across Europe between the top club(s) and the rest.

The only reason it is being accepted is because it was thought of by the football clubs themselves to help the wealthy owners restrict their losses. From here on in it will be easy for them to respond to fans' claims of there being a lack of investment- they just blame FFP! The system they invented anyway!

The wool is well and truly being pulled over peoples' eyes, I've had my say on it and I believe I will be vindicated in ten years time when everyone realises that legislation restricting your spending means you cannot challenge with clubs who are already above you.

I agree with you Henrik with the exception of one point....I don't think you will need to wait 10 Years to be vindicated. There will be legal challenges at the start and creative ways around it. Whilst the FFP principle is right it's application is wrong.....let everyone start off on a level footing....like you do in monopoly! Then everyone will have a fair chance...not the strong getting stronger and the weak dissipating away. These are the fans clubs we are talking about.

The idea is to stop club's from going bankrupt, that is a good principle to adopt. Anything that help's to reduce the grossly disproportionate wages paid to footballers compared to the average wage of the rest of us, is also good.

The fundemental question that need's to be answered is;
do the top club's have a real appetite for a European league, with all it entail's travelling and no travelling supporters.
or, support your home league by sharing their huge home gate receipts to produce a stronger more equal Premiership.

There are some terribly one sided games played in the Prem'. I have just cancelled my Sky Sports package, because it didn't represent value for money.
