I can't understand why we use right sided players on the left hand side. This annoys the hell out of me. Giggs is probably the only left footed midfielder we have in our whole squad which is mad. If a player like Nani can struggle at times on the left hand side, then what hope do Young and Cleverley have? I would have preferred if Buttner had played there.

Buttner on the left would be a huge improvement on Young.

Anybody is an improvement on welbeck on the left!

Young isn't.

What amazes me is that so many footballers are so blatantly one footed. Yes, it's natural to favour one foot over the other, but there were incidents on both sides today where rather than take a shot, the player tried to take an extra turn to go with his favoured foot.
In this day and age of professional sport with such high wages, is it too much to expect players to feel comfortable with both feet. Surely it comes down to coaching at a young age. It's not rocket science but surely when coaching at a young age, a quick session each day should simply be spent on a player kicking with his weaker foot.
As an example, it's so easy to defend against Valencia because you just show him the inside. Now if he had a decent left peg, you would be more wary to do that (I don't mean to pick on poor Tony, but he's an obvious example) Very few players are genuinely 2 footed, even the best ones in the world.
In the Utd squad, I suppose Carrick is fairly 2 footed. As for Nani? He could barely use his right peg today, never mind left.

A good way to improve your weaker foot is to spend an hour a day kicking the ball against a wall with only your weaker foot. It will soon improve

I prefer players to play the opposite side to their stronger foot so they can cut inside better.

Giggs isn't the only left footed midfielder in United's squad. Learn before you post.
