Yup, I read that this morning, the rumours are gathering momento. His move to Sporting fell through because of an issue with his wages apperently.
Seems Stoke are prepared to throw a bit of dosh around bidding nearly 10 million each for Carlton Cole & Scott Dann (both moves fell through).
Could Stoke afford Niks alleged "60k" a week? Would Bendtner fancy a move to the Potteries? And would we all feel a little bit weird seeing Bendtner being moulded into a Barbarian targetman by the peeenarse that is Tony Pullis?

He is a little too good for Stoke I think. He would certainly be better for them than Kenwyn Jones (not saying Jones is bad either!!!) With the long ball style of play that Stoke use, Jones and Bendner will score lots of headers (particularly Jones)

Interesting, because even Dortmund, the German Champions, allegedly baulked at his wages!
Which makes me wonder what some of the Dortmund players must be on wage-wise, some fantastic talent in that team...

Bendtner is a legend...but only in his own mind!
From the interest, or lack of, that other clubs have shown in him suggests he not as good as he think he is and the fact that no BIG clubs are in for him proves this. Sporting Lisbon, Stoke, Hamburg are hardly the creme de la creme!!!!!!!

I agree with the previous poster. It's a reality check for Bendtner to realise that, after all, no big club wants him.
Whilst he's not Arsenal material IMO I have major reservations about Chamakh and I'm not sure that he is better than Bendy.
