Despite being awful is still considered as one of the top 30 performance squad members for England
No James Taylor
No Ben Stokes
Who else should be ahead of Flopara? Is this the Essex connection with Gooch and Cook that's keeping him in?

You are having a dig at Bopara and yet fail to have a dig at the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Tim Bresnanm, Samit Patel etc who are not anywhere near as good as Ravbop.
==================================
JB - Is still young and has had a difficult time personal reasons but he is the backup keeper to Prior. He does need to step up this year.
Patel - Not a test player but has done a good job in one dayers playing the finishing role and has outperformed Ravi in limited overs cricket.
Bresnan - why should he not be in the squad?

The guy Essex have just lost to Hampshire is a far better batsman than Bairstow and probably a better keeper.
IMO, Essex should have released Foster and kept Wheater.

Because he isn't very good. He doesn't get many runs and he doesn't take many wickets.

What ARE you on about? Bresnan has a batting average over 31 which is the same as Bopara. Bresnan has ALSO taken 57 wickets which Bopara HASN'T. Don't talk rubbish,
Bairstow is 24 as opposed to Bopara who is twenty eight. Bairstow also has the added ability to don the gloves now and again.Bairstow is the future as much as Bopara is.
Samit patel bw i agree on that one!!

also, why the HECK is Luke Wright there??!!

Luke Wright has been a decent performer in T20 cricket hasnt he?

Kash, he has a batting average of 20 and 12 wickets. Hardly sets the world alight. Swann and Tredwell average around the same.

I dont get all the Bairstow love by some on here....
James Taylor is by far a better batsmen than that technically challenged slogger.....
===================
based on their test match performances against south Africa, bairstow is the far better prospect.
to me bairstow looked like a leading performer, whilst taylor looked like a number 9.
