Smiling like a dumb goofball whilist an entire arena gives him both barrells. Just horrible to watch and listen to. It makes him look and sound insincere and fake in the fact he doesn't ever truely react to it. Not like a human would anyway. It makes it impossible to take him seriously and his superman finish to every match just magnifies his dullness and total failure to innovate his character. I remember when he tried to do an impression of Ace Ventura a few months back in a promo with a Heel character at the time ( forgot who it was ) and it was butt clenchingly excrutiating to watch. Even backstage they apparently thought it was too much, too dumb. Cena's excuse was that after a hard week of divorce and failure to pay people he owed money to ( he failed to mention that ) he wanted to have fun.
John Cena having fun is pain to fans over 12.
EVERY damn dull promo he's done for the match between him and Rock, even the 1st match always seems to begin with how half the crowd hate him and the other half like him. He just repeats the same lines again and again. Yes we know all this Cena you moron, say something different.
I fear knowing Vince's love of quick fixes for a few weeks of TV ratings that a Cena turn would only last a month before he's back as the ultimate good boy scout puking out the same old underdog Superman speechs and boring everyone to death with hustle, loyalty and respect bile, scattered around about 10 mentions of the WWE Universe. It's hideous the corporate jargon that spews from his mouth.
If he turns then it'll be blown in a month and not built over time. I truely believe another loss to The Rock in a match nobody cares about is better for him long term. Turn him Heel and then just build him to rob Taker at Mania 30 by cheating. That really will be something, wrecking a 20 year plus record for selfish gain. If Rock is going to face Brock then Cena has to face Taker. In fact I wouldn't even want Cena to turn Heel at this Mania.
Have him lose clean again or involve someone else, Cena gets conflicted in the ring and Rock takes advantage for another clean win.
The Taker Streak would have so much more of an impact on the world of wrestling if his potentially final ever match was ruined by Cena finally going all out for a victory at Mania. Cheating of course.
I doubt Vince would ever have the vision or the b@115 to do it.
Smiling Boy Scout Fruity Pebble Cena.

both his and rocks promos were poor, there isn't really a story to this match, it's just a rematch, they cant really do much with it

Yr articles are always amusing (in a good way).
He's warn me down tbh. I've always had a tremedious amount of time for the guy behind the character, but everything from the slogans to the chessy mannerisms to the company disguising the boos as superman reinforcement just give out this beacon of resentment everytime he's on my screen - i hardly even notice it anymore.
He can stay as a face as long as he deems fit, i've lost the will to care. What i will care about however is if he goes heel and does it wrong (could do without any "yr supposed to be my friend" schizophrenia episodes thank you).
The whole Undertaker WM30 idea that you ran with yesterday isn't bulletproof but theoretically could work, one of very few ways it could theoretically work

you are rightcenas heel turn needs to be sudden, dramatic and done perfectly. Easily would give the most amount of viewers in years for the episode of raw after.
he is just doing the charachter he has been given, I dont think he does disguise the boos at all, if he did then he would continue talking and they would turn the crowd sound down

What if he loses clean...
and then in a hell-crazy roid rage beats the living crap out of the rock when his back is turned, using steel chairs, sledgehammers and the wwe title?

then the rock will be the bruised champion for the next 12 months

the rock being back is awesome, the rock being champ is worse than cena, it losses its credibility not being on the show every week

How does the title lose its credibility if its not on TV every week? Its not being defended every week, the match is still being built up (badly, yes, but the intent is there) and I'd argue that overexposure is one of the things that's killed Cenas character deader than the Dodo.
Maybe it would help matters if wrestling went back to the time when seeing the champion was a somewhat special event rather than routine. It's got to the point where seeing the champion on TV is so expected that it's more special when Tyson Kidd gets an appearance.

I think Cena is going to lose again at Mania, thus initiating the heel-turn.
I have never liked Cena, I think he is so boring and his moveset is rubbish but a heel-turn may freshen the character somewhat.
I didn't mind his promo on this week's RAW at times because he moved towards a heelish tone and I think it worked better for him.
I guess we don't have long to wait until we find out.

With thelimplibertal on that one. Had WWE done what they should've done with their own summer of Punk angle in 2011 and kept him off TV, the WWE Title would've been as prestigious as i could remember it for the express reason it wouldn't have been exposed on WWE broadcasting. General rule of thumb dictates elusiveness equals intrigue. That unattainable quality could come from various sources including a withdrawal in TV exposure.
That's where i'd stand on the prinicples of that point. I do agree with you that The Rock title reign hasn't been exploited to the extent it should've been. Basically it should've been a giant marketing exercise, as apposed to just a water downed Rock as champion.
