Of course he is entitled to want to play for another club. Anyone can do that, at any time.

But his contract is until 2015 and it's owned by Arsenal FC. Therefore, should Arsenal be willing to sell, any buying club must meet Arsenal's valuation of their player, or there is no deal.

I can't think how that can be made any simpler for you.

Not sure why you felt the need to 'make things simple'... maybe because you miss my point.

My question wasn't about the basics of a contractual situation, it was about the perceived negativity towards a player who has done a lot for your club, just because he wants to leave.
