I have the luck of bumping in to BD at the Hilton EMA on Sunday morning. We got chatting about the Brighton game and why the Football League Show highlights started with Collins tackle despite there being at least 3 good efforts by the Reds, including Reeds Shot, chip, cross or whatever it was, before this incident.
This was followed by a longer interview with Poyet than BD and coverage that made it look like Brighton were in the game for long periods which for anyone at the game was clearly not the case. Also the elbow on Pep seemed to be brushed aside even though BD said he will be out for a few weeks.
BD was clearly upset about the coverage and called over NK to join in the conversation as well. I don't want to instantly jump on the "BBC is anti Forest" bandwagon but it does make you wonder.
Have to say it was a very interesting way to start my Sunday morning.
Why did the FLS start with Collins tackle ?

At first i thought it was a passive ignorance but its looking more and more like active distane for us. I remember when they were reading the comments from fans two years back on the FLS, when were going into the playoffs against swansea.
They chose the most negative comment they could - along the lines of ' we will fail the playoffs, just let us lose quickly so we can be put out our misery.
Of all the bloody comments?

I think the BBC have always been a bit anti Forest since BC took over. They never have a decent word to say about us and revel in any misfortunes and success we had was always met with comments of "...it won't last.." ..."they're not good enough..."
I have a feeling Jimmy Hill was our main critic and when we knocked Liverpool out of the European Cup we committed the ultimate sin
I might be wrong but I think BC actually banned the BBC from the CG at one point

Yes it does seem to have been going on for sometime. I also think it does not help that the FLS seems to employ a selection of former footballers who don't seem to truly understand the game they are commenting on or perhaps are eyeing a future role in politics and hence getting in practice are using a lot of words without ever saying anything concrete or meaningful.
RedGamster fully agree on old Jimmy Hill. Seems like the other general issue is that the FLS seems to have a selection of commentators who have played for some of our main rivals and thus bring a natural anti Forest slant to their comments.
The other thing BD was upset about was that the interviews with the other Championship Managers were shown (not sure if it was on the FLS or Late Kick Off) but his was only on the website.
Good to see he was so passionate about how Forest are treated in the press. Shows that he really does care a lot about our club.

Remember listening to the radio a couple of years ago just before the second legs of the playoffs and remember whoever the pundit was saying good luck to Leicester, Cardiff and Blackpool in the second leg. No mention of us.

Let's not forget though, on Monday 'Burnley dominated for long periods of the game'. Would love to hear whether this was the case from fans who went to the game because Radio Nottingham seemed to think we were well worth at least a point.

According to the stats we had 54% possession and 6 shots on target to their 4 so cannot see how that can be dominating for long periods.

I was at the game. They had spells but they certainly did not dominate.
That said I thankfully can not remember much of the game. It was truly a poor match.

It was a bit annoying, especially when the commentator said Brighton's first goal had been coming for some time (or words to that effect), but it doesn't really matter, I guess they have a limited time to show both sides best bits (although I remember the week before we had 10 minutes of a London Derby with 1 shot in it.)
