Conway vs. Goodwillie

If only we could go back in time and not waste the money on him. He has been pretty poor throughout his time here and has brought plenty of baggage with him.

It is strange that things have went so bad for Goodie, I haven't really even seen any games with him in it since he left. The guy is a talented football player of that there is no doubt, I thought it might have taken him a few months to settle in, but I never would have predicted it going so bad, maybe just too much of leap (money wise too) for quite a young player. Championship maybe would have been a better option for him, and like you said good news for Conway why is not getting a shout for Scotland

blackburn are in the championship,maybe if he went to a small championship team in the first place where he would have played every week his career wouldnt have stalled,

I think he suffered for his lack of versatility. EPL clubs, especially those fighting relegation, seem to be reluctant to try a young striker in his natural role, they prefer breaking them in on the wing. Goodwillie was an absolutely terrible winger, so just didn't get much game time.
Was good enough to play as a striker for them, just didn't get a shot.

just looking at blackburn squad and they have good strikers there,Rhodes,Kazim Richards,Nuno Gomes,Joshua King,Leon Best and goodwillie

no surprise he dosen't play as all of those players are arguably better than him,certainly most of them are better

maybe a loan back to the spl or a lesser championship team with fewer options in attack would do him good,maybe even league one which is a good standard aswell
