Group B
Kent
Team: Manchester United
Odds 1 – 3

After all the euphoria of Kent’s victory in the German tournament, his title defence was quite lacklustre. Internet connection problems, coupled with team issues resulted in a quarter-final exit to Jag, his worst performance at a tournament since the Ireland one. However he couldn’t have asked for a better situation this time having got Manchester United and a simple enough group he will stroll to the knock-outs and with his main threat Voom only having Swansea, it is all set up for Kent to wrestle the title away from Voom and post his second tournament victory. Do it for Duke!
Verdict: Winner
Saint
Team: Liverpool
Odds: 7 – 1

A surprising return for Saint this tournament having not been seen since the League 2 tournament. From what I can remember he is a pretty decent player solid enough and with him having Liverpool and Junior, Oscar only having WBA and Southampton he has a good chance of making the knock-outs. I think I will punt on him making the knock-outs just ahead of Junior, but it will be a tight battle.
Verdict: Quarter-Finals
Junior
Team: WBA
Odds: 7 – 1
Previous tournament performances: Winner, Quarter-final, Semi-final, Quarter-final, Group Stages
Ranked: 4th
Junior’s fall from grace was complete last tournament finishing rock bottom of the group and posting his worst ever tournament finish, the only way is up from here. He needs to show this time round he is back and it is going to be a tough battle against Saint and Oscar, but if he can show some of the stuff he did in the early tournaments he can get through this bad patch.
Verdict: Group-Stages
Oscar
Team: Southampton
Odds: 9 – 1
Previous Tournament Performances: Group-Stages, Group-Stages, Group-Stages, Group-Stages

Now I can never get this guy, it seems to me his attitude determines his performance, take the spin-off for example, enthusiastic enough and had a decent tournament, nearly getting to the knock-outs. Last tournament seemed disinterested and didn’t put up that much of a fight was a tough group I’ll give him that. Seems to me if the positive Oscar turns up he will challenge for knock-outs, the negative one won’t be much of a challenge.
Verdict: Group-Stages
