If we win all our remaining games we will get to 75 points which should be good enough for a playoff place. Not posted this for a while, but glad that even though our position is still 8, we are only 4 points off the playoff places. Next few games are going to be crucial for us to get up some form to take into the playoffs.
Sadly, we cannot now win the league which in itself is a bit disappointing as Cardiff have been rubbish for ages and they are still sitting high and dry! Still, it was looking much worse for us 10 games ago, so glad we are in with a fighting chance of the playoffs now. COYWM.
Target 75 points :-/ We are currently 8th!

If we had managed to defend our lead in every game where we were ahead this season, then we would now easily be top of the league. A few weeks ago the BBC said that Bolton had the worst record in the Championship for throwing away a lead. This is one area that DF still needs to work on, the last away match at Charlton being the latest example of throwing away a good two goal lead. It all points to there being more work that is necessary in strengthening our defense. It is particularly important towards the end of a game where we often let in goals in the last few minutes. The players need reminding that a game lasts 90 minutes and they must be fit enough to last this amount of time and concentrate up to the final whistle. Any player that appears to be slacking towards the end of a game should be brought off.

I know he's showed signs of improvement this season, but imo until we find a replacement for Knight the defence will continue to be shaky - saying that they did get a clean sheet last night

We're going to need a new left back as well because there's no way Alonso will sign with us again even if we get into the Prem. Also right back might be required as Mears wasn't too hot last time we were up too!

In terms of quality, we now have the poorest Bolton squad in a decade .... If that pipe dream of promotion was somehow achieved this season .... Owen Coyle's last one in the Prem will look world beatin', compared to next!
