How will the Emirates faithful...

.. react to Samir Nasri?

So we all remember the rough ride Adebayor received after a Summer spent trying to engineer a move away from the Emirates. It wasn't particularly pretty.

Question is, assuming he sees fit to stay with us for another year, will Mr Nasri be afforded a similar reception by the masses when he rocks up for the first home game against Liverpool on the 20th?

Granted he has not openly expressed a desire to leave or compared other clubs to generously proportioned R&B artists, but at the same time the silence from his camp has been deafening.

Now I know the same could be said for Fabregas but that as we all know is an entirely different scenario after the 8 years of service he has given us. Nasri on the other hand, much like Adebayor was distinctly average for much of his time with us, had a storming few months and now wants to 'do one'.

So what should he expect and why?

I think we got a decent estimate of the coming reception for him from the last 2 games - subdued.

Nobody other than the board, wenger and nasri himself knows his future. My take is he wants a contract giving him unrealistic wages that he doesn't deserve. If he stays then fine, the last thing we want is to boo him since that isn't going to help anybody.

Not signing a contract gives that impression.

You know it's a bit like - you can tell if someone is not fond of you with out them having to spell it out.

"Has he actually said he wants to leave?"

Bearing in mind the hoohaa that has surrounded him this Summer, the silence from his camp has been deafening.

Not being able to get the Emirates much I will still be shouting at the telly, cheering him on, if indeed he is still there...

It is counterproductive to do otherwise.

Lexington 235 - what would u do 4 free breakfast:

I've always been impressed by Nasri's smilliness. It's not in the same league as, say, Rory McIlroy but it's nice in a bulging teeth kind of way. But should he leave...
