Liverpool were frustratingly held to a goalless draw at Anfield by a stubborn West Ham United side on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers defended resolutely from start to finish and Liverpool never really looked like scoring. But Steven Gerrard had a good shout for a penalty turned down by referee Anthony Taylor, and Daniel Sturridge also had a goal disallowed as he turned Jordan Henderson's long range effort into the net.
At the other end, West Ham had a couple of chances of their own to nick an unlikely victory. Substitute Matt Taylor fluffed a shot in the dying moments and earlier on Daniel Agger made a crucial block against Carlton Cole after Lucas had made an error that let the Hammers in.
But neither side could find the breakthrough and the game ended goalless.

Chelsea could be finished if they lose today.
They still face Liverpool, Everton, Spurs and Man Utd in their last 7 games, as well as a derby with Fulham (away), Swansea at home, and Villa away.
Today was the easiest game they had left.

trap
ive made a few threads about this ..but i got the usual "rodgers has a long term plan...just be patient"
and fair enough if he has...but i cant see him being hired beyond next season if we finish seventh again.....
its just not acceptable anymore......
