This season just passed i didn't always manage to get my pre-match bet on due to the length of queue as the game was about to kick off. As a result i missed out on at least one winning bet.
Anyway it got me thinking as to what other bets or great predictions i didn't cash in on.
1) Someone asked me before our home play of game against cambridge what the score would be. Confidently i predicted 5-0.
2) After defeat to shefield united and with the kop baying for the boards and Martin O'Neils head i predicted promotion through the play offs to my amazed mates.
3) That very play off final against crystal palace. As we brought on the spider for the penaltie shoot out the bloke next to me broke out into a cold sweat and started muttering to himself. Seeing and hearing his fear I turned to him and told him the spider would not be needed. As we all know Claridges shin saw to that.
None would of made me a fortune but as anyone missed out on a real biggy?

I once missed out on sticking £20 on 1,2,3 in the right order in the National due to work. It cost me a small fortune as I had it spot on with long odds

in the 1995 Grand National, my Dad ran thr runners through his system. It returned with 5 horses - 4 decent things, and one at 40-1. He decided against the outsider as it seemed stupid, and on the other 4...
Sadly, this used to be his job. And you can see why it isn't now
Speaking of football and play-offs but not bets, he also got fed up of us losing having been to the 92 and 93 finals, so didn't bother with the Derby one.
We went round the room for predictions for the England-Germany game last year. Everyone (including 'experts' like Hansen) was like: 'England will do em' etc. I was one of the few who predicted we'd lose.
But my sister said we would lose 4-1
